POS terminal market size in the U.S. in 2024, with a forecast for 2029
Estimates are that the POS terminal market size in the United States will be worth 15 billion USD more than by 2029 than in 2024. This is according to modelling and assumptions made by third-party providers. The United States is one of the few countries that has little information on the number of POS terminals available in the country. The penetration of contactless - also called NFC, or mobile proximity - payments at POS in the United States, has been steadily increasing since 2023.
