According to a survey of 2018, the port of Cozumel in Mexico registered the highest cruise tourism expenditure in Latin America and the Caribbean, with over 474 million U.S. dollars. The Bahamas was the second destination with the highest spending on cruise tourism, with nearly 406 million U.S. dollars. That same year, cruise tourists in Jamaica spent more than 244 million U.S. dollars during their travels.
