This statistic shows the ways of managing wealth for China's high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) as of 2018, by age group. According to the survey results, around 55 percent of the surveyed HNWIs that were younger than 40 years old preferred to make their own decisions on wealth management through self-study, whereas 68 percent of HNWIs who were 40 years and older preferred to manage their wealth based on the advice from professional financial institutions.
