This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted between 1974 and 2017 asking high school students in Japan about their previous experiences with sexual intercourse. In 2017, around 13.6 percent of male and 19.3 percent of female respondents stated to have had sex before, representing a decrease from the previous iteration of the survey in 2011.
