This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted between 1974 and 2017 asking university students in Japan about their previous kissing experiences. In 2017, around 59.1 percent of male and 54.3 percent of female respondents stated they have kissed someone before, showing a decrease compared to the previous iteration of the survey in 2011.
