Share of children receiving regular pocket money in Japan 2019, by age group
This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted in April 2019 in Japan about the share of children receiving pocket money on a regular basis, sorted by age. During the survey period, the majority of surveyed children, around 57.3 percent, did not receive an allowance regularly, with over 65 percent being in elementary school. In contrast, the majority of children in junior high school, around 59 percent, received pocket money regularly.
