According to the data provided by Competitive Data, net revenue of companies of pharmaceutical products and preparations in Italy decreased slightly, going from 15.6 billion euros in 2016 to 15.2 billion euros in 2018.

Companies active in the production of pharmaceutical products and preparations. Data refer to the Italian market.
The source adds the following information: "Companies with significant (statutory) turnover, a degree of specialization in the sector greater than or equal to 50 percent of the total turnover, and active in all the financial years considered have been taken into account for the calculation. The calculation also takes into account the balance of power between companies. For example, companies with a too high turnover were discarded, so that their balance sheet structure does not excessively influence the average sector indicators."
