This figure increased considerably during the period under consideration, peaking at 62 million euros in 2019. In 2021, the leading photovoltaic company in Italy was Sorgenia S.p.A., with a revenue of over 3.3 billion euros.

* Companies with significant (statutory) turnover, a degree of specialization in the sector greater than or equal to 50 percent of the total turnover, and active in all the financial years considered have been taken into account for the calculation. The calculation also takes into account the balance of power between companies. For example, companies with a too high turnover were discarded, so that their balance sheet structure does not excessively influence the average sector indicators.
