The operating result of the photovoltaic sector in Italy has increased between 2015 and 2022, peaking at 65 million euros in 2019. In 2022, it amounted to 39 million euros. In comparison, the net revenue of the Italian companies producing photovoltaic technologies and energy amounted to more than 680 million euros that year.

Only includes companies with significant (statutory) turnover and a degree of specialization in the sector greater than or equal to 50 percent of the total turnover. The calculation also considers the balance of power between companies. For example, companies with too high a turnover were discarded, so that their balance sheet structure does not excessively influence the average sector indicators.
