The net revenue of companies producing or distributing photovoltaic products and energy has increased over the last few years. In 2022, it amounted to approximately 690 million euros, up from only 267 million euros in 2015. In 2022, the leading photovoltaic company in the country was Sorgenia S.p.A., based in Milan.

Only includes companies with significant (statutory) turnover and a degree of specialization in the sector greater than or equal to 50 percent of the total turnover. The calculation also considers the balance of power between companies. For example, companies with too high a turnover were discarded, so that their balance sheet structure does not excessively influence the average sector indicators.
