Visegrád residents' opinion on non-EU immigration 2023

Among the Visegrád Group countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia), Poland recorded the largest share of respondents with a positive attitude toward immigration of people from outside the European Union (EU) in 2023, at over 50 percent. To compare, in Czechia, approximately one-fifth of the respondents had a positive view on external immigration into the EU.

*The total number of respondents in the EU-27 was 26,425. Of them, 1,035 were interviewed in Czechia, 1,021 in Hungary, 1,007 in Poland, and 1,001 in Slovakia. 

The original question was formulated by the source as follows: "Please tell me whether each of the following statements evokes a positive or negative feeling for you." The statement was as follows: "Immigration of people from outside the EU."
