Contribution of city clusters to China's GDP 2020

This statistic shows the share of key city clusters in the gross domestic product (GDP) of China (including Hong Kong and Macao) in 2020. That year, the Yangtze river delta city cluster contributed around 23 percent to the total GDP. The Yangtze river delta city cluster with Shanghai as a center and surrounding cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces is one of the most important economic zones in China and is responsible for about one third of China's imports and exports.
