Evolution of the practice of oral sex among women in France 2021

This statistic displays the proportion of women who have ever practiced oral sex at least once during their lifetime with a male partner in France between 1970 and 2021. It shows that the share of French women who have already practiced oral sex has increased over the decades: 50 percent of females in France had already practiced oral sex with man in 1970, they were more than 80 percent as of 2006. In 2021, almost nine out of ten French women had practiced oral sex at least once in their life.

1970: Ifop study for Family Planning conducted by self-administered questionnaire from June 20 to September 25, 1970 among 2,625 people aged 20 and over, taken from a representative sample of 5,400 people aged 15 and over living in metropolitan France (excluding Corsica).
1992: Ipsos study for ANRS and INED conducted by telephone between September 1991 and February 1992 among 20,055 people, constituting a random sample of the population aged 18 to 69 residing in metropolitan France.
2006: CSF survey ("Contexte de la Sexualité en France") for ANRS-INED-INSERM conducted by telephone between September 2005 and March 2005 among 12,364 people, constituting a random sample of the population aged 18 to 69 residing in metropolitan France.
