Gas imports from the East and LNG imports in Poland 2016-2023
In 2023, ORLEN imported about 6.5 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas to Poland - eight percent more than a year earlier. Imports from the eastern direction amounted to 0.4 billion cubic meters. Poland has not imported gas from Russia since April 27, 2022, when Gazprom halted supplies to PGNiG (now ORLEN Group). The western and southern directions covered the rest of the imports. Total gas imports in 2023 amounted to approximately 17 billion cubic meters.
