In 2022, around 10.33 million tourists arrived in Egypt by aircraft, which was an increase of 40.74 percent from the preceding year.
During the period under review, two drops can be recognized, one in 2020, which can be linked to the travel restriction implemented due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, another drop can be recognized in the number of tourists arriving by air in 2016, which was after a Russian airplane crashed in the Sinai peninsula in 2015.
