Number of nights spent by tourists Egypt 2013-2022
In 2020, the total number of overnight stays in Egypt amounted to 43 million, compared to 136.3 million in the previous year. This major drop can be linked to the drop in the number of tourists arriving in Egypt. This drop can be linked to the travel restriction implemented due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Moreover, during the period under review, two major drops in 2016 and 2020 can be noticed.
