Definition Root mean squared error
The Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) is an important statistical calculation used to determine the difference between predicted values in a model and actual values from observations. If this difference is large, the model is likely to be less accurate than if the difference is small; therefore, a modeler can calculate the RMSE and adjust other features until the RMSE is as small as possible to improve the model.
