16.12.2019 Statista driving its expansion to Asia: Office opening in Tokyo
Tokyo, December 16, 2019 – In the light of its expansion to Asia, the business data platform Statista opens its office location in Tokyo, Japan. After Singapore, Tokyo it is the second office location in Asia for the Germany-founded company.
The Japan office is in the Marunouchi area, between the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station, one of Japan’s most prestigious business districts as well as a sophisticated shopping destination. The team of currently three full-time employees is responsible for all sales and marketing functions in the country. Further colleagues will be hired in the course of 2020.

For its key trend topics in the format of statistics, reports and outlooks, the platform uses in-house research and external data sources.
The Japanese office is led by Country Manager Manabu Tsunori. He will apply his experience from different leadership roles in the area of business development, sales and marketing for global companies such as Adobe, Intel and Microsoft to advance Statista’s expansion in the Japanese market. Manabu Tsunori, who holds an MBA degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, said: “I am looking forward to head Statista’s business in Japan.
