Who can participate?

  • Tax/accounting professionals: All U.S.-based professionals with extensive knowledge and experience in tax and/or accounting matters
  • Communication specialists: Representatives, who can give insights into the tax/accounting firms they work for
  • Clients: Every U.S. citizen, who has interacted with a tax/accounting firm during the last three years

 

What firms are you evaluating?

All tax and accounting firms with at least one branch in a U.S. state can be nominated and recommended. Firms offering advice to businesses and private citizens are both considered for the list.

 

What does the questionnaire look like?

  • Tax & accounting professionals: You recommend other companies that enjoy a good reputation in the market and provide important information about your own company. The provided information may be used for publication purposes.
  • Communication specialists: You provide important information about your company which may be used for publication purposes.
  • Clients: You recommend companies you’ve had to positive experiences working with and rate them according to various criteria.

 

How long is the survey accessible for participation?

The survey will be accessible from August 5, 2024, to September 29, 2024.

 

How are the winning companies identified?

The most recommended and best-rated companies will be included on the list of “America’s Most Recommended Tax and Accounting Firms”. So it's worth sharing the survey with your network and your clients!

 

When and where will the “America’s Most Recommended Tax and Accounting Firms” list be published?

The results will be published on February 5, 2025. The list will be published online at usatoday.com and in the print version of the newspaper.

 

How do I know if my firm is among the winners?

Winning companies will be notified by e-mail in January 2025.

 

Can I nominate my own firm?

Nominating one's own firm is not allowed. All participants must provide a valid personal business email address and their contact information. Contributions from participants using private or generic business email addresses will not be considered. Recommendations for one’s own firm or attempts to participate multiple times will not be counted. We reserve the right to exclude companies from the top list if we detect infringements of this rule.

 

Will my individual responses be shared?

No. All responses will be confidential and anonymized.

 

Can I share the survey link with others?

Yes, you may share the link to this landing page with other tax/accounting professionals (including members of your company) and clients. To participate, they can use the button at the top of this landing page.

 

Is there a cost for firms to appear on the published list?

No, all winners can promote their success via press releases, social media, or on their websites. However, optional paid opportunities will be available to winners, including congratulatory advertising packages and a licensing fee for use of the “America’s Most Recommended Tax and Accounting Firms” logo. These offers are voluntary and open to all winners.
