Which are the best financial advisory firms in the U.S.? Share your opinion!

To answer this question USA TODAY and Statista are conducting a survey among clients and industry experts to find out which registered investment advisory firms (so-called RIA firms) are most recommended and appreciated.

Who can participate?

The survey is directed at the following target groups:

  • Clients of RIA firms
  • Employees of RIA firms
  • Industry experts who are neither a client nor an employee of an RIA firm

Methodology

The recommendations for each RIA firm are summarized and evaluated anonymously. In addition to the survey results additional metrics (e.g., data in relation to assets under management (AUM)) will be included in the final analysis.

If you have any questions regarding the survey or project (not answered in the FAQ below), please contact Sarah Lepp at Statista via financialadvisors@statista.com.

FAQ

Q: What does a firm have to do to be considered for the top list?

A: For industry insiders, such as you, our survey relies, among others, on a tested peer-to-peer recommendation approach. In case that you could not accept a certain assignment: Who would you recommend to a potential client? To us, it is clear, that you are convinced of the firm you work for. Therefore, the survey builds on the knowledge on firm reputation and the mutual appreciation among peers working in the same industry –being a truthful and fair critic when recognizing the work of other industry peers.
