This means that women are at a 35 percent disadvantage in the economy in comparison to men. More specifically, the country had a score of 0.61 in wage equality for similar work. This shows a gender pay gap of approximately 39 percent (women are 39 percent less likely than men to receive an equal wage for similar work). Overall, Argentina's gender gap index has slightly improved since 2020.
