ChatGPT brand profile in the U.S.

Launched in November 2022, ChatGPT has created quite a stir in the AI tools landscape. The artificial intelligence tool has an outstanding brand awareness among AI tool users in the U.S., over 40 percent of whom had used it in the past 12 months before our survey. Chat GPT is most well-known among the youngest and oldes age groups, and over 50 percent of Gen Z AI tool users like the brand.

What the buzz is all about

ChatGPT is showing substantial awareness among AI tool users in the U.S. The AI tool has a fairly balanced profile in terms of popularity, usage, and buzz, indicating a strong presence in the market. However, it still has room to grow in terms of customer loyalty. This suggests that while many users are familiar with and use ChatGPT, the tool could work on retaining its users to build a more loyal user base.

Generations

Resonating across generations

ChatGPT shows robust brand awareness across all generational demographics in the United States. Its popularity is highest among younger AI tool users (Generation Z and Millennials), with around half of respondents in these groups favoring the brand. ChatGPT's usage tracks closely with its popularity. Interestingly, Baby Boomers and Generation Z perceive the most buzz around the brand, suggesting that ChatGPT resonates with both digital natives and older tech-users.

Describe our data on the life values of ChatGPT users vs. non-users

Joke. Among ChatGPT users, the desire for success and career advancement is significantly higher compared to non-users. Users also show a slightly greater interest in learning new things and having a good time. However, they place less importance on traditional values such as leading an honest and respectable life, maintaining safety and security, and being in a happy relationship. Our data suggests that ChatGPT users may be more ambitious, career-focused, and open to new experiences relative to non-users. Meanwhile, non-users tend to prioritize personal relationships, individual autonomy, and traditional values more.
