U.S. consumers' purchase locations for gin 2017

When it comes to purchasing gin in the U.S., 46% of respondents in the U.S. aged 21 and older choose supermarkets. Second among the most frequented places to buy gin at rank beverage markets with 31% of the consumers purchasing the clear alcoholic spirit there. Meanwhile, the number of American consumers who buy gin from tv shops or the store of the individual brand is not as high with about 9% of the respondents purchasing the beverage via those sales channels. Gin is among the most popular drinks within the U.S. spirit industry, with a reported sales volume of 9.76 million 9-liter cases in 2018. In that same year, Seagram’s Gin sold close to 2 million 9-liter cases of gin which makes it the leading gin brand by volume sales in the United States.
