U.S. consumers' selection criteria for vodka 2017
American consumers make no compromises on quality when it comes to purchasing vodka. As of 2017, almost 50% of the U.S. respondents at the age of 21 who buy vodka base their purchase on this criterion.
Brand name is another decisive factor. Many consumers only buy vodka from brands they trust as they might feel that top brand names are indicators for a high quality product. Less influencing to the respondents regarding the question whether to buy a certain vodka or not seem to be the ingredients the spirit consists of. Same goes with the design of the vodka bottle.

Produced in several countries across the globe including India, Brazil and Italy, the Diageo owned brand sold more than 26 million 9-liter cases that year. This figure is twice as much as the second placed brand Absolut Vodka which sold 11.3 million 9-liter cases worldwide in the same period.
