The main reason of using sex toys amongst 59% of female consumers in the U.S. at the age of 18+ who have tried the stimulating items before, is for the sake of fun. Almost 50% of consumers use these products to add some flare to their sex lives while 20% stated that sex would be better when you throw erotic toys in the mix.

This is quite in line with the worldwide trend where vibrators’ sales made up 21.5% of the global sex toy market. Dildos are another popular choice amongst the respondents as 6 out of 10 are in possession of this sex toy type. A smaller number of consumers are into masturbators or strap-ons with 6% of the respondents owning these products.
