Italy: share of trips and overnight stays by purpose of trip 2014
This statistic illustrates the share of trips and overnight stays in Italy in 2014, by purpose of trip. According to the study results, the vast majority of trips and of overnight stays in Italy were ascribable to holiday travel (75 and 87.4 percent, respectively). While one in four trips was taken for business purposes, only around one in ten overnight stays was made during the course of a business trip.
