In fact, Australia is now among the top 10 importers of furniture in the world, with a value of as much as 3.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2017. Despite opening its first store in the country around 40 years ago, it wasn’t able to take a major grip on the market. However, over the last five years it has put its foot on the proverbial pedal by announcing plans to open 30 new stores across the country by the turn of the decade.
