Since 2017, the revenue from e-commerce in the food and personal care market in the selected African countries increased significantly. Revenue in Kenya for example increased from nine million U.S. dollars to 79 million dollars in 2020 and is expected to increase even further to over 177 million in 2025. In 2020, e-commerce revenue of this market was highest in Egypt at almost 700 million U.S. dollars, followed by Nigeria with around 550 million dollar. The Statista Digital Market Outlook estimates the e-commerce revenue across all countries will continue to increase.
