PRODUCT UPDATE

What’s changing in our company data offering

At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to providing the highest quality data and solutions that enhance our customers' lives. That’s why we have decided to make some strategic changes to our Company Insights product and integrate it into the Professional Account. This will allow us to focus even more on delivering quality data while you can benefit from a more convenient access and synergies with other data products.

And this is just the beginning of something bigger.

What you need to know

Product integration

We are integrating Company Insights data into the Professional Account. This will allow you to easily find and combine market, consumer, and company data, enhancing your insights discovery and making your research more robust.

Quality focus

We are shifting our focus to quality over quantity, updating our coverage and sourcing process to reflect this. You will have access to 100% verified data from official company filings, covering the most relevant companies worldwide.

Gradual transition

We’re starting with data on 10,000 companies, available by February 2025.
But that’s just the beginning! Over time, we’ll be adding more company data and comprehensive reports to further enhance your insights.

Bringing company, market, and consumer data together for powerful insights

Integrating company data into our existing platform infrastructure alongside market and consumer data means everything you need is in one place. No more switching between separate tools or searching in different places—it’s all here. By having company data available as statistics alongside our other data offerings, you can effortlessly find, compare, and combine insights, making your research more impactful.

Quality is a core focus

We're updating our sourcing process to use 100% owned and verified data. Unlike previous estimations, we now rely on official company filings, ensuring greater accuracy and enhanced transparency with source links. Automated data synchronization allows for real-time updates as new data becomes available from the source.

Our path forward to integrated data

This change is part of a broader strategic vision focused on more integrated data and quicker access to the information you need. We’re beginning with statistics, but reports and additional company data are already on our roadmap. Stay tuned!

USE CASE

Combine our data to drive your success

Discover how our integrated data can provide powerful insights. In the following use case, you'll learn how a company leverages combined insights to make data-driven decisions and confidently prepare for a product launch.

The challenge
Imagine a company that has developed a new, comfortable shoe technology. To bring their product to market successfully, they need a detailed understanding of the competition, market trends, and their target audience. This is where integrated data makes all the difference.

Step 1: Analyzing the competition

The company identifies Sketchers as their main competitor—a brand synonymous with comfort. To learn from Sketchers' success, they look at growth trends over the past five years and analyze future projections. This helps them uncover opportunities where they can stand out.

Step 2: Spotting market opportunities

Next, they tap into Statista's Consumer Market Insights to evaluate the sneakers market in the US. They explore metrics like revenue, Average Revenue per User (ARPU), and sustainability trends to identify regions with the highest growth potential in the next few years. Seeing promising signs in the US, they also compare opportunities in Europe, ultimately finding the UK to be a key market for expansion.

Step 3: Understanding their audience

The company dives into consumer preferences using the Brand KPI survey. By analyzing Sketchers' customer base, they learn that US consumers are 9% more likely to trust well-known brands, signaling that trust should be a cornerstone of their US marketing. Meanwhile, in the UK, Sketchers customers are 11% more likely to see sneakers as part of their daily lives, suggesting a campaign focused on both comfort and style would hit the mark.

By combining insights on competitor growth, market potential, and consumer behavior, the company can create a well-rounded strategy that positions them for success.
