One Year After Brexit

The Felt Effect of the Brexit Vote

How the eventual Brexit will play out over time, nobody knows. Some think Britain shot itself in the foot by narrowly voting to leave. Others think the EU will suffer more after the eventual divorce in two years' time. There seems to be schadenfreude at play on all sides. One side hoping the other might trip up harder.

According to a survey by Chatham House, in the UK most people think Brexit already has weakened the EU (70 percent). In the EU it's still more than half (57 percent) who think Brexit has had a negative impact on the union. Many are seemingly still sitting on the fence. Not many believe Brexit has strengthened the EU.
