Macron Voted President of France
As an extraordinary presidential election campaign comes to an end in France, the new president, Emmanuel Macron is celebrating a sweeping win over Marine Le Pen. Despite achieving the incredible feat of reaching the runoff as a candidate representing the far-right, Le Pen was eventually beaten soundly - receiving just 34 percent of the vote, compared to her centrist opponent's 66.
