Irish Housing Supply

Irish population growth is outpacing housing supply

Ireland's homeless problems are being exacerbated by a crisis in housing supply. According to data from the country's central statistics office, housing managed to more or less keep up with increases in the Irish population between 2002 and 2006. Between 2011 and 2016, however, Ireland added 173,613 people to its population while only 8,800 more houses were built. Read the full story about the crisis in TheJournal.ie.
