Death Toll Still Rising Two Years Into Yemen Conflict

Last week marked two years since the civil war erupted in Yemen. A Saudi-led coalition and Houthi rebels are still engaged in fierce fighting, leaving thousands of civilians killed, injured and homeless. According to the latest figures recorded by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, 4,773 civilians have lost their lives so far while a further 8,272 have been injured. Human rights activists have claimed that around 17 million people have been made food insecure as a result of the war.
