Donald Trump's Approval Rating Has Hit A New Low
Just two months into the job, Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to a new low of 37 percent according to the latest polling data from Gallup. That's the worst approval rating any U.S. president has evert had by mid-March of their first term in office. Down through the years, other presidents have seen their approval rating fall to 37 percent and below but much later into the job. Bill Clinton saw his approval rating slump to 37 percent in his first year, the lowest of his presidency, but not until June 1993.
Gallup's findings came at the end of a turbulent week for the Trump administration in which the president's plan to repeal and replace Obamacare came under withering scrutiny. It also came as questions continued to circulate surrounding Russian involvement in the electon and just before FBI Director James Comey testified to the House Intelligence Committee on whether Trump Tower was wiretapped during the 2016 campaign.
