Brexit
Britons see Europe as their most important partner
Even though the UK is going to leave the European Union, a significant majority of people there still consider Europe their country's most important partner. That's according to a recent Ipsos MORI poll which found that 47 percent of people in the UK consider their relationship with Europe most important, compared to just 29 percent for the United States. That feeling is further reflected in the leaders the public feel Theresa May should try to build relationships with. 26 percent of respondents think she should build a strong relationship with Angela Merkel in the coming months.
