Mobile phones less expensive in the Netherlands

Inflation in the Netherlands in January 2017 increased by 1.6 percent in comparison with the same month last year, a relatively strong increase. This chart shows the products of which prices increased and decreased the strongest between January 2016 and January 2017. Consumer prices of mobile phones and computer accessories decreased by 22.1 and 15.2 percent respectively, whereas the price of butter increased by nearly 23 percent. Despite the overall inflation increase, this chart indicates that some products in fact became cheaper.
