Donald Trump
Global Expectations Of Trump's Presidency
An Ipsos MORI poll has found that the majority of countries worldwide have low expectations of Donald Trump's impending stint in the white house. 18,000 people were polled in 24 countries and only 34 percent of them think the former business mogul will make a good president. People in Mexico are particularly grim about the next four years with 81 percent of them saying that Trump will be a bad president.
Similar rates of pessimism were recorded in Western European countries with considerable majorities in the UK (80 percent), Germany (78 percent) and France (77 percent) saying that Trump will turn out to be a bad commander in chief. In the U.S. itself, a slight 52 percent majority think that the new president will do a good job.
The most positive expectations were recorded in Russia and India where 74 and 65 percent of people respectively feel Trump will be a good U.S. president.
