Job Market
Where Jobs Remain Unfilled The Longest
In some cases, employers struggle to find suitable candidates with the correct skill set to fill job positions. That can result in job positions remaining open far longer than first planned. A report from American job search engine Indeed shows that the length of time a job remains unfilled varies widely between different countries.
The report claims that over a quarter of U.S. jobs are still open and unfilled 60 days after their creation. In Germany, two in 10 are still open two months after they were first advertised. It's a different story in many other countries where jobs are filled rapidly. In China, only 1.4 percent of jobs remain open after 60 days on average whie in Russia it's 1.8 percent.
