The EU home owners with outstanding mortgages

In 2014, over a quarter (27.8 percent) of the EU's population lived in an owner-occupied home with an outstanding loan or mortgage. 43 percent of Europeans lived in owner-occupied homes without loans or mortgages. Sweden has the most property owners with outstanding mortgages at 61.3 percent while Romania has the least with just 0.7 percent, according to Eurostat.
