How does air pollution vary across the world's cities? According to the World Health Organization, PM2.5 (micrograms per cubic meter) levels are highest in Asia and the Middle East. Delhi has the very worst air pollution levels of any city in the world with a PM2.5 level of 122. By contrast, Rome only has a PM2.5 level of 17.
