Britain's international students: where do they come from?

The United Kingdom has some of the most renowned universities in the world. While the cost of a tertiary education has significantly increased over the last few years (with the exception of Scotland, where it is free), many institutions remain revered around the world. Of the thousands of international students that were enrolled in the UK in the academic year 2014/2015, the largest share came from China. With over 89 thousand, Chinese students were by far the most common - India in second place with 18 thousand.
