Drugs
Where 'legal highs' are most popular
'Legal highs', intoxicants which have escaped the reach of the law, are never out of the news for too long nowadays. Be it a new craze or an unfortunate death resulting from their use, these substances are controversial and sometimes the target of a subsequent ban. According to the Global Drug Survey 2016, 11.6 percent of UK respondents stated they had purchased such drugs in the previous 12 months, putting Brits (and their Northern Irish friends) on top of the list ahead of the US, Netherlands and Canada.
