China's Smart Device Market Grew 400 Percent in the Past Year
The adoption of smartphones and tablets continues to grow at impressive pace. Flurry Analytics estimates that 640 million iOS and Android devices were active in July 2012. For now, the United States remains the largest market for smart devices, although China is quickly catching up.
According to Flurry, there are now 128 million active iOS and Android devices in China, up 400 percent from less than 30 million in July 2011. At this pace, China is on track to overtake the United States as the world’s largest market by the end of 2012.
