Google's Russian antitrust fine is peanuts

Google has been served an antitrust fine in Russia amounting to 6.75 million U.S. dollars. The basis for the case is Google's supposed shutting out of competitor apps by requiring phone makers to preinstall Google-made software on their Android devices.

While the fine is potentially an indicator of more to come for the Mountain View company, the infographic below reveals just how small this financial slap on the wrist is for a company the size of Google. Based upon parent company Alphabet's revenue from Q2 2016, it would take a mere 41 minutes to earn the funds required to pay off the penalty.

Description

This infographic compares the antitrust fine served by Russia to Google and the time it will take Google to earn that amount.
