Brits Would Leave The Eurovision If There Was A Vote

The Eurovision Song Contest celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, but how do Europeans feel about the event? Even though it is a beloved institution in many countries, some nationalities have come to loathe it. YouGov carried out a hypothetical referendum on Eurovision membership across seven EU countries, finding that Britons would leave the contest, if given a vote.

60 percent of respondents in the UK would vote to leave the contest, along with 54 percent in France. Scandinavia was far more keen on the Eurovision with sizeable majorities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden saying they would prefer to remain part of the competition.
