Where to go to get Paid for Dangerous Assignments
Want to get paid more for doing the same job? If you’re not afraid to take a risk, then going where others would rather stay away might be an option. While being sent abroad to work in foreign countries isn’t unusual, there are places most employees wouldn’t go if employers didn’t offer them additional dollars.
A list by the U.S. Department of State gives a hint at when you might want to ask your superior to pay you some extra money. Obvious locations such as Libya, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan will get the most pay slapped on top of your basic salary if you’re working for a branch of the U.S. State Department (check out the LinkedIn post here).
