Cannabis is the the most widely used drug in Europe, accounting for 40 percent of the region's entire drug market. It has a market value of €9.3 billion annually, according to the EU Drug Markets Report 2016. It is followed by heroin (€6.8 billion) and cocaine (€5.7 billion).
