Who Criticises The Government Most And Least?
Pew Research recently carried out a study into the levels of freedom of speech in 38 countries around the world. As part of this study, they also analysed the percentage of the public who felt government criticism should be allowed or not. Lebanon is the country that feels the most strongly about the right to discuss and criticise the government, followed by Australia and the United States. In Turkey, where Recep Tayyip Erdogan was recently re-elected president, only 52 percent of people felt they should be allowed openly criticise their government.
