Religion's Generational Decline In The U.S.

A major new survey from Pew Research shows that the United States is becoming less religious. Comparing different generations of Americans is one of the best ways to illustrate religion's decline. Take the silent generation born between 1928 and 1945. 92 percent of them believe in God, 67 percent pray daily and 51 percent go to church at least once a week. Even though 80 percent of older millennials born between 1981 and 1989 believe in God, only 39 percent of them pray daily while even fewer, 28 percent, go to church services once a week.
