Crime in Ireland in 2014 - the key numbers

Irish online news publication The Journal asked Statista to visualise some of the most important aspects of the annual yearbook published by the Irish Central Statistics Office. There was actually a drop in most criminal offenses between 2013 and 2014. Last year, there were 30 homicide offences across the Irish republic while 282 police officers were assaulted. €698 million of drugs were seized while there were just under 16,000 controlled drug offences.
